Wedding Photographer Northamptonshire: Two Cultures, Two Dresses and Two People in Love..Jul 31,2014
Two people in love, two families ready to be one union, two cultures entwined to create the perfect day and two wedding dresses…yep, that’s right, TWO wedding dresses!
Sam and Gemma knew exactly what they wanted when they planned this beautiful countryside wedding at Dodford Manor; with a mixture of two cultures, they were keen to incorporate Gemma’s Chinese roots into their big day.
So seamlessly put together, their day started with the traditional English wedding. Vintage in theme and full of soft pastel colours. Gemma’s dusky pink wedding dress was a pure delight! It’s layers and layers of soft organza created a delicate wedding gown that shimmered in the twilight sun.
After the wedding breakfast Gemma changed into her red Chinese wedding dress and Sam got to see his bride in her bridal dress for a second time. Wow! What a sight to remember!
Followed by a traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony, blossom and lotus flower tea was served out of Chinese China pots and cups to the elders as a symbol of respect and as a mark of welcoming one family into another.
What an amazing day!
Below is a peek of Sam and Gemma’s wedding story…
