October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down —
October is red
And golden and brown.

I was out walking today {revitalising the mind after a day behind the desk} and I suddenly realised that’s it’s finally started to happen!
It seems to have been a long time coming this year {or maybe I’ve just been a little impatient waiting} but finally, the leaves are turning into beautiful auburn and gold delights; the light is turning soft and creamy and the air, fresh and woody {as in the smell rather than ‘Woody’ from Toy Story ;)}.
It reminded me of an autumn family shoot I did last year {before my blogging days} and the fun these two little tinkers had playing in the leaves; kicking them up in the air with their wellington boots, throwing them high up in the air like confetti at a wedding and best of all stuffing them down dads jumper when they thought he wasn’t looking 😉
