The photo below was taken in Vietnam – it’s an image of one of the locals sat in a rice paper making hut in Chau Doc. The rice paper is used for fresh spring rolls {the tastiest I’ve had – ever!}
The spring rolls are eaten cold and filled with rice, spring onion, carrots and an array of fresh local herbs {and sometimes shrimp too}. You usually dip them in a fragrant peanut or chilli sauce.
I just loved the light coming in through the window on the right of the frame, illuminating the face gently and casting shadows in all the right places. I think it emphasises how powerful a little bit of window light can be…
