I don’t think I’ve seen a face beam with so much joy as I did today.
Susan walked into Fawsley Hall to find all her children and grandchildren waiting for her, soon to be showering her with hugs and kisses and wishing their mother and grandmother a happy birthday.
Today wasn’t just about celebrating a 70th birthday. Today was about a family stretched across the globe coming together to create everlasting memories. With a son living in Hong Kong, another in Geneva and the other due to emigrate to Australia, this surprise get together was always going to be something incredibly special. Fawlsey Hall in Northamptonshire provided the perfect venue for the families elegant afternoon tea party.
I felt honoured to have been booked by the family to photograph the event; the eager little faces of the children waiting for grandma to arrive, the happy tears followed by all the laughing and excited exchanging of stories.
This will definitely be one for the family to remember….
