Wedding Photographer Northamptonshire: Shoes, shoes glorious wedding shoes!

Something old, something new,
Something borrowed, something Blue,
A silver sixpence in her shoe!

Getting married in 2015? Well, I think this blog may be just for you!

Did you know that the tradition of a silver sixpence in the bides wedding shoes was originally a Scottish tradition? It all started with the bridegroom putting a coin in his shoe to represent financial security and future wealth. Somewhere along the line the tradition changed to the bride having the sixpence in her wedding shoes instead…

Shoes, shoes glorious wedding shoes! Just peeking out from under a brides soft, flowing dress we see an ivory kitten heal, a diamanté encrusted bow or a statement pair of fabulous stilettos! The right shoes are essential for finishing off that perfect bridal look. Photographing all the little details that have been carefully selected with love and attention is a what I love most about my work and as a result I get to see the most amazing shoes that any girl would be proud to have in her wardrobe.

Looking for a bit of bridal shoe inspiration? Cast your eyes on these shoe tapping beauties 😉

What a stunner it was too! The delicate lace that caressed Lara shoulders, the buttons, some with pearls and some with crystals, and its long train that floated in a puddle of Lara’s Jimmy Choos!
