Dodford Manor | David & Jodie

Dodford Manor: David and Jodie fell in love with the St Mary the Virgin Church when they saw it. A grade 1 listed building, located within a tiny village with beautiful views over open countryside in the heart of Northamptonshire. Full of rustic charm and perfectly situated a short walk (or hill climb!) from Dodford Manor where this couple had chosen to carry out their wedding celebrations with friends and family. It was a beautiful ceremony with let’s say, what was some very interesting singing! It had the whole congregation in fits of giggles throughout which made the whole thing rather fun and entertaining too.

Jodie chose to have her bridal prep at a nearby hotel. The room was full of laughing and lots of bubbles (the alcoholic kind rather than the washing up liquid kind…in case there was any doubt)

Sat on the end of the bed sitting quietly watching the television when I arrived was Mia. David and Jodie have been blessed with two beautiful children who would be sharing their special day. Mia was getting ready with mummy and the girls. She was an absolute star from start to finish and one of the prettiest little flower girls I’ve ever seen! She was a delight to photograph and lots of fun to have around us as everyone was being pampered.

Dodford Manor is always a popular wedding venue with my couples and it suited David and Jodie perfectly. It provided the inside space for the drinks reception while it rained and a pretty courtyard with stunning views for when the sun came out. I think the icing on the cake was the magician that David and Jodie had booked to entertain their guests with during the wedding breakfast. You can’t beat a good old magic trick!
