The Church Restaurant: Mmmm an appropriate name don’t you think? ‘The Church’!
Situated the centre of Northampton this converted, old church was the perfect relaxed venue for Colin and Dana. When we met for the first time they were set on having an informal, party feel to their wedding day. They didn’t want lots of formalities. They wanted something that was a true representation of them; fun, social, and full of energy. And that’s exactly what they got from start to finish…
Dana is possibly one of the most organised brides I’ve ever met. She was literally ready an hour before she had to leave the house to go to church! Nothing was rushed. Everything was meticulously planned and allowed lots of time for drinking champagne, relaxing and reminiscing about school days with her maids and mum. There was no mad last minute rush out of the door in a panic. It was such a relaxed morning and everybody enjoyed laughing and lounging around the house before the final preparations begun.
Dana’s looked truly breath-taking when she was ready dressed; opting for a non-traditional hair piece rather than veil. It added a touch of French chic! Everything looked like it was made for each other including Dana and her bridal dress! It was simply perfect.
Colin and Dana got married in St John the Baptist Church in Kingsthorpe Village. Colin’s face was a picture when he saw his wife to be walking up the aisle arm in arm with her dad. He couldn’t stop grinning throughout the whole ceremony. The sun was shining and the village surroundings provided us with the perfect backdrop for their bridal portraits.
Later at The Church Restaurant more champagne was flowing and the party was in full swing. Speech’s guaranteed to make you laugh, music guaranteed to make you dance and a bride and groom guaranteed to make sure you were going to have a fun evening.
